- Installed before you fly
- Local plans on Orange Maroc
- Full refund if it cannot be made to work
What do you need?
Install the eSIM before you fly
Scan the QR code on Wi-Fi at home and your Morocco eSIM is on the phone before you board. Where to find the code, and what to do if it fails.
OpenSwitch the eSIM on after landing
Land in Marrakech or Casablanca and get online: choose the eSIM for mobile data, get the roaming setting right for your plan, and keep your number.
OpenData roaming in Morocco, explained
A local plan connects as a Moroccan line; a regional plan roams. Which switch to flip, and why your home line keeps its roaming off.
OpenNo connection in Morocco
The phone shows no data after landing: the checks that fix most cases, in order, before you write to the store's support.
OpenRefunds and a lost QR code
The refund promise in plain words, how to find your order page if you lost the link, and why a working eSIM is not refunded after a change of mind.
OpenCheck your phone takes an eSIM
iPhone XR onward, Pixel 4 onward, Galaxy S20 onward and most recent phones take an eSIM. The one-minute check, and the models that do not.

Registration
SIMs bought in Morocco are registered to the buyer's identity, with a passport for visitors, since 1 April 2014. An eSIM bought online abroad needs no counter registration.
Troubleshooting
The eSIM is on but nothing loads. What first?
Three checks, in order: is the eSIM line set for mobile data, is it switched on, and does the plan need data roaming (regional plans do). Restart the phone after the checks.
It worked yesterday and stopped. Why?
Check the data counter first: a plan's data can run out before its days do. Then check the phone has not switched the data line back to your home SIM.
When should I write to support?
After the three checks and a restart, if there is still no connection after about ten minutes in a place with known coverage. Write to the store with your order link, phone model and screenshots.
Refunds
You get a full refund if the eSIM is not delivered, or if it cannot be made to work and the store cannot fix it.
If the eSIM does not work and we cannot fix it, you get a full refund.
Install the eSIM on Wi-Fi at home, switch it on when you land, and if anything goes wrong, write to contact@baobabsim.com with your order link. The QR code appears on your order page right after payment, and the store emails you the link.
Start here
- Install the eSIM: scan the QR code on Wi-Fi before you fly.
- Switch it on after landing: the data line, the roaming switch, and your own number.
- Data roaming: which plans need it, and how to keep it off your home line.
- No connection: what to check first when the phone shows no data.
- Refunds and a lost QR code: the refund promise, and how to find your order page.
- Check your phone: whether your phone takes an eSIM at all.
The two things that trip people up
- The QR code is personal. Anyone with it can install your eSIM, and most phones install a code only once. Save it before you close the order page; the store’s email holds the link to that page.
- Know your plan’s type. A local plan runs on Orange Maroc and connects as a Moroccan line, no roaming switch needed. A regional plan connects through a partner network and needs data roaming on for the eSIM line. Both are prepaid, so nothing can add charges to them.
If it still does not work
Write to contact@baobabsim.com while you are in Morocco, with your order link and what the phone shows. If the eSIM cannot be made to work and the store cannot fix it, you get a full refund.
Still stuck?
Orders, QR codes and refunds are handled by BaobabSIM support. Write with the link to your order page and your phone model.

Quick answers
Does the eSIM need data roaming on?
It depends on the plan. A local plan runs on Orange Maroc as a Moroccan line, so no. A regional plan connects through a partner network in each country, so yes.
How long do I have to install it?
Install the eSIM within 30 days of buying it. If your trip starts later, write to the store before installing.
Can I keep my own number on WhatsApp?
Yes: the eSIM carries the data and your usual SIM keeps your number.
