Online when you land in Morocco.
Install the eSIM before the flight. A prepaid data eSIM for Morocco. The local plans run on Orange Maroc, one of the country's three networks, so your phone connects as a Moroccan line and not as roaming; the regional plans add other African countries through a partner network in each. Install it at home on Wi-Fi and switch the line on when you land, with nothing to register at a counter.

Prepaid, no subscription · Full refund if it does not work

Land in Morocco, and you are already online.
- The QR code stays on the order pageThe code appears on that page right after payment, and the store emails you the link: bookmark it or save the QR code before you leave. Many phones install a QR code only once, so do not delete the eSIM after you add it.
- Nothing to register at a counterA SIM bought in Morocco is registered to the buyer's identity, and visitors use their passport: the rule has applied since 1 April 2014. This eSIM is bought online before you fly, so there is no counter and no registration queue at arrivals.
- A full refund if it cannot be made to workIf the eSIM is not delivered, or it cannot be made to work and we cannot fix it, you get all your money back. A working eSIM is not refunded for a change of mind.
Everything your trip runs on, on your phone.
- Maps and ride appsUber and Careem work in the big cities, and navigation runs on data. Your own number stays on for WhatsApp and bank codes.
- Maps for the medinasThe medinas of Fes and Marrakech bend faster than any map: live directions and riad pins need data. Download offline maps before the desert roads as a backup.
- WhatsApp on your own numberYour number stays yours. Messages simply travel over the new data line.
Every plan on this page is prepaid and data only, so your own number stays on for calls and WhatsApp while the eSIM carries the data.

Questions before you fly
Which eSIM should I get for Morocco?
One that runs on a Moroccan network, if you can. The local plans here are lines on Orange Maroc, one of the country's three networks, so the phone connects as a Moroccan line rather than roaming. Pick the days of your trip and the data you expect to use.
Do I need a passport for a SIM card in Morocco?
For a SIM bought in Morocco, yes. Since 1 April 2014 a prepaid line can only be activated once the buyer's identity is registered, and visitors use their passport. An eSIM bought online before you fly is not registered at a counter.
How will I receive the eSIM?
The QR code appears on your order page right after payment, and the store emails you the link. Bookmark that page or save the QR code before you leave it: a QR code can usually be installed only once.
Should data roaming be on?
On a local plan the phone connects as a Moroccan line, so roaming is not needed. On a regional plan, turn data roaming on for the eSIM line. On your home line, keep it off so your home carrier does not charge you.
Can I keep my own number for WhatsApp?
Yes, on a dual-SIM phone, which most recent phones are. Your home SIM stays on for calls and messages, WhatsApp keeps your number, and the travel eSIM carries the data.
Is there 5G in Morocco?
Yes. Maroc Telecom, Orange Maroc and inwi launched 5G on 7 November 2025, starting with the main cities; by the end of March 2026 the regulator counted 44% of the population covered. Whether your phone shows 5G depends on the plan and the phone.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, a full refund if the eSIM is not delivered, or if it cannot be made to work and cannot be fixed. A working eSIM is not refunded because your plans changed. Write to contact@baobabsim.com with your order link.
