The short answer

inwi is Morocco's third mobile network, run by Wana Corporate. It sells prepaid SIM cards and an eSIM pack in its own shops, with prices that undercut the two larger networks, and it launched 5G with them on 7 November 2025. The plans sold through this site do not run on inwi: the local plans are lines on Orange Maroc.

inwi at a glance

  • The third network

inwi runs 4G across Morocco with the other two and launched 5G on the same date.

  • Shops and counters

Prepaid SIMs are sold in its shops and at airport counters, registered to the buyer's identity.

  • What the phone shows

A local plan on Orange Maroc will not show inwi; the network name tells you which plan you are on.

inwi is the third of Morocco’s three mobile networks, run by Wana Corporate. It arrived last and competes on price: its prepaid offers undercut the two larger networks, and it sells both SIM cards and an eSIM pack in its own shops.

If your phone shows inwi

Check the plan first. The local plans on this site are lines on Orange Maroc, so a local plan shows Orange Maroc; a regional plan connects through a partner network in each country and shows that network’s name. If your phone is on inwi and the data works, the connection is doing its job; if a regional plan is on, keep data roaming on for that line.

Buying an inwi SIM instead

A prepaid SIM from inwi is registered to your identity at the point of sale, with a passport for visitors, and comes with a local number. It is a good deal for a long stay that needs a Moroccan number and local prices; for a trip, the eSIM bought online before the flight skips the shop entirely.

The facts on record

  • Run by: Wana Corporate.
  • 5G since: 7 November 2025, the same launch day as the other two networks.
  • Registered SIMs: since 1 April 2014, prepaid lines are tied to the buyer’s identity.
